Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, name, and profile picture when you create an account
- Travel Preferences: Your travel style preferences (gastronomy, museums, nature, nightlife, etc.), interests, pace preferences (relaxed, balanced, intense), budget ranges, group type, and dietary restrictions
- Travel Plans: Destinations, dates, itineraries, custom notes, and routes you create or save
- Marketplace Content: Travel plans you publish to the marketplace, including titles, descriptions, and cover images
- Payment Information: When purchasing plans from the marketplace or
earning revenue as a creator, payment is processed securely through Stripe Checkout (web-based
payment system).
We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are processed through Stripe's secure
payment infrastructure.
- iOS: In compliance with App Store Guideline 3.1.3(b) "Reader" Apps, marketplace purchases on iOS are completed via our secure website. The iOS app allows you to browse travel plans, and when you choose to purchase, you'll be redirected to our website to complete the transaction through Stripe Checkout. After purchase, you can access your purchased content within the iOS app. Revenue earning for creators is fully supported on iOS.
- Android & Web: Marketplace purchases use Stripe Checkout (web-based). Full marketplace functionality including purchasing is available on Android and web platforms.
- User-Generated Content: Photos, images, and other content you upload when creating marketplace listings
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and device language settings
- Usage Data: App features used, interaction patterns, preferences, and session duration
- Location Data: With your permission, we may collect location data to provide
location-based travel recommendations and mapping services. Location data may include:
- Approximate location (city/region level) for currency and language auto-detection
- Precise location coordinates when you use mapping features to view travel plans on a map
- Analytics Data: Anonymous usage statistics to improve our services, including feature usage, error reports, and performance metrics
- Log Data: Technical logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and error messages for troubleshooting and service improvement

When you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign-In, we may receive:

- To enable features such as the Plan Marketplace, plan sharing via QR codes, collaboration, and referral programs

- To facilitate marketplace functionality, including displaying your listings to other users and processing payments where available
- To send you updates, notifications, and promotional communications (with your consent)
- To improve our app, develop new features, and enhance user experience

Advertising Services
We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display rewarded advertisements in our app. When you choose to watch ads to earn credits:

We do not store voice recordings after processing is complete.
Text-to-Speech Features
The app may use text-to-speech features to read travel plan information aloud. Audio processing is performed on your device, and we do not collect or store this audio data.
Camera and Photo Library Access
If you create listings in our marketplace, you may upload cover images for your travel plans. This requires access to your camera or photo library.
- Images you upload are stored securely on our servers
- Uploaded images are visible to other users as part of your marketplace listings
- We do not access other photos or videos in your library beyond the images you explicitly choose to upload
- You can remove uploaded images at any time by editing or deleting your marketplace listings
Mapping Services
We use Mapbox for mapping, geocoding, and location services. When you view travel plans on a map:
- Mapbox may process location-related data (such as destination coordinates, route information, and map tile requests)
- This data is used to display maps, calculate routes, and provide location-based features

- Your precise location coordinates are only used when you actively use mapping features and are not stored for other purposes

Service Providers

Marketplace
If you publish travel plans to the marketplace:
- Your public profile information (username, profile picture if provided) and plan information will be visible to other users
- Other users can view your published plans, purchase them through Stripe Checkout (web-based payment), and see basic creator information
- Your contact information (email, phone) is never shared publicly

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to:
- Protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
- Respond to legal claims or prevent fraud

Business Transfers

- Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement
- Log Data: Retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting and security purposes
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes even after account deletion.

Account Deletion
You can delete your TraviAI account and associated data at any time using the methods below. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and data from our systems, subject to legal retention requirements outlined in our Data Retention policy.
Method 1: Email Request
Send an email to request account deletion:

- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Registered email address: The email address associated with your TraviAI account
- Username: Your username (if applicable)
- Reason: Reason for account deletion (optional, but helps us improve our service)
We will process your account deletion request within 7 business days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
Method 2: In-App Settings
You can delete your account directly through the app:
- Open TraviAI app
- Go to Profile (bottom navigation or menu)
- Scroll down to find Delete Account option
- Tap on Delete Account
- You will be asked to confirm the deletion twice for safety
- In the final confirmation, type "DELETE" to confirm
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted
Note: Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Make sure you have exported any data you want to keep before proceeding.

- Permanent Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, you will not be able to recover your travel plans, marketplace listings, or account data.
- Data Retention: Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate
business purposes even after account deletion, including:
- Payment transaction records (as required by law, typically 7 years for tax and compliance purposes on Android)
- Data in backups (for a limited period until backups are rotated)
- Anonymized analytics data (which does not identify you personally)
- Log data related to your account (retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting)
- Third-Party Services: If you signed in using Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign-In, you may also need to revoke access through those services' respective settings. Account deletion from TraviAI does not automatically delete your account with these third-party services.
- Active Transactions: If you have pending marketplace transactions, purchases, or refunds, please allow these to complete before requesting account deletion, or contact support for assistance.

Children's Privacy
TraviAI is not intended for children.
- In the United States: Our services are not directed to individuals under 13 years of age
- In the European Union: Our services are not directed to individuals under 16 years of age (or the age of consent in your specific country, which may be 13-15 in some EU member states)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable age limit. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under the applicable age limit, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

Platform-Specific Information
Payment Method
TraviAI uses Stripe Checkout, a secure web-based payment system, for all marketplace transactions. The platform facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers and charges a commission (20%) to sellers. We comply with platform-specific guidelines for digital content purchases.
iOS (Apple App Store) - Reader App Model
In compliance with App Store Guideline 3.1.3(b) "Reader" Apps, the iOS version implements a web-based purchasing flow. iOS users can:
- Browse and discover travel plans in the marketplace
- View plan details and previews
- Purchase plans via our secure website: When you tap "Purchase Plan", you'll be redirected to our website where you complete the transaction through Stripe Checkout. After successful payment, you're automatically returned to the app.
- Access and use purchased content within the app
- Create and list their own travel plans for sale
- Manage their seller account and track earnings
Why web-based checkout? TraviAI is a user-generated content marketplace where creators set their own prices. This dynamic pricing model, combined with marketplace-style transactions between users, makes it incompatible with Apple's In-App Purchase system. Following Apple's "Reader" app guidelines allows us to provide full marketplace functionality while maintaining App Store compliance.
Android (Google Play Store) & Web
Android and web versions include full marketplace functionality with Stripe Checkout (web-based payment), allowing seamless buying and selling of travel plans.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new policy in the app
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
